Daughters Day of Reflection

We’ve heard the stories of the
women of scripture…but can we relate to them? What about Rebecca, Sarah, or
Esther is relevant to life as a woman in modern culture? Women will find
out…and find out a bit about themselves and the sisters around them, in this
Women’s Day of Reflection. Packed with prayer, stories, laughter,
small-group interaction and music, this retreat - based on the bestselling
“Daughters of God” recording (Oregon Catholic Press) - allows women the
opportunity to see what makes them unique and yet connected to one another,
through reflection on the women of scripture. Women will have the chance to
share and listen, and to minister to and speak to one another in the way
only women can.
This day includes morning coffee, prayer
time, two hours of study (on four women of the Old Testament), lunch, two
more hours of study (on four women of the New Testament) and closing prayer;
a six hour retreat. Followed in the evening by a Sarah Hart concert for the
parish and community.
“I cannot begin to say how wonderful of an
experience our weekend was with Sarah! She wove together such beautiful
songs and stories about the women of scripture, and with professionalism and
enthusiasm. I heard comments from so many women about how they made a
personal connection with Sarah. Sarah is amazingly gifted and serves Jesus
with great joy, which is apparent in her music and stories. She was truly
such a pleasure to work with. We can’t wait to have her back!” –
Kellie Sheets, Music
Coordinator, St. Aloysius Parish, Hickory, NC
“A more than praise-worthy note for Sarah
Hart’s Women’s Day of Reflection! What a delightful day…it was simply
marvelous to listen to Sarah’s insights, music and storytelling. The women
loved the interaction and Sarah’s welcoming presence. We shared stories,
coffee, lunch and laughter! The day passed too quickly…we highly recommend
Sarah and this wonderful day for any parish seeking a spirit-filled retreat
for their women.” –
Susan Bellotti, Pastoral Associate, St. Paul Church, Westerville, OH
The positive response to Sarah’s
visit was overwhelming. Evaluations from women participating in the retreat
were unanimous in their praise of Sarah’s message and delivery. Her use of
scripture and personal stories related to women of all ages and Sarah’s
outgoing, warm personality coupled with her deep faith connected with all
who attended. Many remarked that the five hour retreat was too short!
Sarah’s concert performance was as energizing as her retreat. Her ability to
engage everyone in the audience – from the children to the pastor – made for
a memorable evening for St. Andrew Parish and all who attended. We
especially appreciated Sarah’s flexibility and positive attitude in bringing
this event to our community. It was truly a joy to work with someone who’s
faith pours forth not only song but in her every interaction with others. We
look forward to welcoming Sarah Hart back next year! –
Dovile Krempasky, Music Director &
Chair, St. Andrew’s Parish, Milford, OH
This day gives women an opportunity not just
to hear the stories of these wonderful women of biblical history, but also
to see how their own lives are directly connected. It is an exciting and
refreshing day! We hope you will consider bringing this uplifting experience
to your church community.
