Listening
to a SARAH HART CD is a transforming experience. Put
any of her recordings
on your player and you’re immediately hooked by her sweet, compelling
voice. Follow the lyrics on the tray card and you become immersed in
the spirituality and honesty of a seeker who helps us discover the God
who walks with us in our daily lives. Sarah’s lively contemporary blend
of folk, pop, and rock welcomes and delights listeners from every age
and background.
Seeing Sarah Hart in concert is an
uplifting experience. Her stage presence is captivating as she bounces
easily from piano to guitar, engaging eager audiences with her singing,
her energy, and her witty conversation. You walk away from the venue
thinking you’ve just had a wonderful evening with an old friend.
Meeting Sarah Hart confirms the depth
experienced on CD and in concert. Her music reflects the influences of
favorite songwriters, poets and writers as diverse as Nancy Griffith,
James Taylor, Thomas Merton and Sylvia Plath. Encouraged by her
musician mom to learn a variety of instruments at age 6, Sarah is now a
loving mother herself, raising two daughters with her husband Kevin in
Nashville.
Sarah’s newest, soon to be released
recording, “Road To Ohio”, is a bit of a departure from her previous
works. A bluegrass/roots record with 12 new songs penned by Sarah and a
strong emphasis on the emotions that are roots music, the recording is
scheduled for release in late spring of 2008 with Centricity Records.
She will also begin a new recording for Spirit and Song Records in
March of 2008 entitled “SaintSong”.
Sarah is a staff songwriter for
spiritandsong.com. She enjoys songwriting and recording with a wide
variety of artists, writers, publishers and producers. Her music has
appeared in such television shows as “Joan of Arcadia” and “Strong
Medicine”. She has also penned music for two musicals, and works as a
songwriter and voiceover artist with the Tom Tichenor Children’s
Theater in Nashville, TN.
Sarah is also the recipient of six Unity awards for her work.
